I just love my beardie. I called her Luna after harry potter 5. I like her because she chases after crickets and it looks like she is attacking and its so funny! She loves orange but I dont give her much because I dont know if she is allowed to eat them. She climbs up the side of her vivarium door when she wants to come out. I have wanted a bearded dragon for months now. Ive finally got her!

Hi, I hope this isn’t a silly question; but here goes, my beardie, Yoda, seems to be constipated - well he hasnt been for a few days, which isnt what he usually does - I’ve not changed his diet or anything have given him his fruit and veg as well as his live feed but still no “poo”???
What do you think I ought to do - Im reluctant to take him to the vet as Im worried that they wont really know what to do either!
I’d be really grateful for your advice (also, I call him a he but I really dont know if this is correct - how do you tell?)
He is around 20″ long so he’s not a baby, if thats of any use

Not a silly question. If your beardie appears to be constipated this is one occasion where a bath might be of help. Give him a warm bath, and gently massage his tummy downwards. If this doesn’t do the trick and he looks to be in discomfort then you really must take him to a vet. Ask at your local vets who specialises in reptiles in your area - there is bound to be someone.
Vets are really the only people who can give reliable advice for any sick animal. Beardies can have lots of things which can be treated by a vet - but if not treated they can die! Good luck with him!
