72 days ago today we had rather a hectic morning. Maggie laid a whopping 31 eggs (once I moved the sandbox up to the hot end of the viv)! One died within a few days, another about 2 weeks ago (which was strange). We made an incubator, placed them in there and pretty much left well alone. Yesterday morning I had a peep in there and one of the eggs was totally deflated.....I couldn't understand how it had gone bad so quickly but then I lifted up the tray of eggs and got a bit of a fright when I saw a teeny weeny little dragon having a snooze! For no apparent reason I named it Spud...here's a photo of her just gone into her new home:

This morning I had another peep and had one egg with a head sticking out and another just broken open. I came home this evening, opened the lid of the incubator and Foxy Boxy (he has a box design on his back) tried to run up the side of the incubator and get out! Kinky (he has several kinks in his tail) was also hatched but having a sleep!

Am making well un-informed decisions (guesses) about their sex....spud is a girl, other 2 are boys...who knows though....3 hatched, 26 to go!
Best get those other vivs ready for when we need to split them up!

3000 pinhead crickets have a new home......let the relentless feeding, cleaning and cuddling begin!

Oh, and Maggie laid another 24 eggs yesterday........

Hope you've got a friendly bank manager!

Congrat on the hatchlings - exciting, isn't it? Bet you won't be able to come up with names for them all - or remember them!
