My local pet shop said the first clutch of eggs are usally all infertile,is this true? And is there a way of telling wether they are or not.and once hatched arent u spose to leave them in the liquid in the egg?(sap) so how would u reserve that in a incubator?

Often the first batch of eggs is infertile - but Fiona's certainly weren't! She laid 21 eggs first time round and we had 18 healthy babies from that!

Infertile eggs are a yellowy/orange colour, and will collapse within a week. Fertile eggs are more of a white colour.

The hatchling should be left until the yolk sac drops away naturally. There is no liquid to keep - usually the hatchling takes a few hours to come out of the egg, and then will stay fairly still for a while - sometimes a few more hours. Once it is running around you can safely take it out of the incubator and put it in a vivarium. Some people remove them quicker, but I found waiting until they were running about worked for me.
