i brang my baby beardie home yesterday, now today hes scared of me and back away when i try to pet him. i put crickets in his cage and he doesnt eat them. im getting worried

scratch that hes being playful now and eating just fine. i let him eat till he stopped or until he ate all 9 crickets i put in. hes a fast stealthy guy

Glad to hear he is happy with you. They can worry you at such an early stage. As has been mentioned elsewhere by other folks on the forum sometimes they can be unsure of where they are and who you are and take time to adjust. Others just seem to lap up any attention given to them

I have had my baby for two days now and he is the same he doesnt like it when i try to pick him up, but when i have he is fine im just putting it down to me being new to him, he is eating fine so all is good
