Hi there,
Potential new owner here! I'm Ben I live in Leicester, been reading up on Bearded Dragons for ages and now the kids have gotten a bit older ( 6 and 3) decided now is the time to take the plunge. I've been reading a lot of posts on here about set up, care and so on and thankfully you have already cleared up a hell of a lot of the conflicting information out there!
Anyways gonna be getting the viv at the end of this month then in a few months ill be looking for my Beardie. Not poiont rushing ive got a couple of holidays coming up so I didn't want to be away incase I ended up with a young'n.

Anyways this is quite long and rambling, i'll probably post more when im all set up and panicking my back side off.

Cheers
Ben

Hi - don't forget that if you have any queries at all just ask. No one will take offence at anything however silly you think it may be.

Welcome Ben - im a new owner too, had "Big Bad Barry" a month now! Our kids (5+3) and they love him to bits.

If I can help just ask, not much experience but have just recently purchased a setup and dragon so it's all fresh in my mind.

Had same issue....crickets now I a vented box in the utility room, I only feed them on dried bug grub. Not sure on the nutritional value but it stops the need for fresh veg that stinks after 12hrs. Barry loves them and seems to be growing well, shed his skin this week!

A mix of dry bread crumbs, meusli or other "healthy" breakfast mix, cat or dog biscuits or rabbit pellets all hit with a spice grinder plus a small slice of butternut pumpkin is all you need to feed crix or roaches. Change the pumpkin regularly and there should be no smell.
