Hi nice little red guy you've got. Want to tell us about your set up in case we can fine tune it for you? Lights temps etc.

My viv setup runs nice at the moment.I did worry about night temps as I live in a cold flat but they sit dead on 70 all night.will keep an eye on it though.
Running it at bare minimum decoration wise til it settles more.wasn't sure what to put in.going to get a branch in next.
I also find that it doesn't really like the black crickets.so got some brown silents, prefers them.it did tell me it wanted to go sleep about 7:45 pm as it buried itself under the kitchen roll.so I turned everything off.

Don't need any heat at night unless the temps drop consistently below 16C which is pretty unlikely. In winter provide 10~12 hours light/heat and in summer 12~14 hours light heat. What do you use to provide the heat, dragons prefer a bright white light to bask under so a 60 watt household spotlight is ideal and cheap. It'll provide a good basking temp (around 39~42C) and in a 1200 mm viv the cool end should also be pretty good. What level of UV are you using - should be at least 10%.

Im using a 70 watt household spot as I have the vivexotic tall 4 ft so has a few more inches to heat.I have a 36 inch uvb 10% Arcadia.cool end hovers between 77-80 so I guess that's fine.little one loves to bask though lol.

Nothing wrong with gentle handling any time unless he struggles to get away. Dragons usually start off dark in the morning it helps absorb the heat quicker. Once up to temp they lighten up. Stress usually shows by way of a stripy tummy and/or a tail curling up and over a little like a scorpion.

thanks for the advice you have been very helpful,i'm sure i will have loads more questions throughout it's life :D
