Hi everyone,
Ive been looking around many shops, IE pets at home, and an aquatics shop... I was appalled at what I saw, my boyfriend had to restrain me from shouting at the store manager, who insisted the dragons were "wellkept"

Poor things, were in 1-2 ft vivs and were at least 6 months old, all covered in crickets and lathargic!

I didn't bother looking at their set up prices.

But, I went to a petshop, a local one, and they were so helpful, the lady who helped me, seemed to really know what she was talking about!
I was looking at set ups, and it was £235 excluding the beardie, is this reasonable?

Libby :)

It was all suppliments, substrate, all lighting-with a 5 year guarantee, 4 ft by 2 ft viv!! A heat mat which I said wouldn't use, a poop scoop, all accessories.
I think thats it! But they beardies aren't cheap, they said its to put people off buying them, unless its really what they want :)

Hi for the the heat source just have a trip to bnq for abit of cable,2 screw 60w spotlight bulbs for around 2-3pounds and a screw bulb unit for around 3 pounds again. You can get new 4 foot vivs of ebay for around 100 pounds. The only pricey bit is the uvb bulb/starter unit and stat all this id keep a eye on ebay for.

Really you can be fully setup for around 150-200 max.

I shall have a viv for sale in around a week but its 110 by 50 so shant really be ideal once its fully grown and your a fair distance away.

Either way i hope this helps you abit.
