Hi All
We've had George for over a year and love him to bits and we've been thinking of getting a 2nd beardie. There's an adult female rehome beardie in our local reptile shop, so we have been thinking about getting a second set-up. Can anyone foresee any issues with George if they're in separate vivs? George was a rehome and getting him was the best thing we've ever done. We'd love to give another beardie a good life too! Any and all advice gratefully received.

As long as they're in separate set ups and can't see each other they should be fine. You'll need to avoid letting them out together - we tried to let Stumpy out with his parents once. He immediately leapt on his dad with a view to killing him, and then when pulled off leapt on his mum with a very different intention.

So in my experience adult beardies don't much like each other, except when they want to breed.

Trish has it about right - one other tip. Ensure they can't even see reflections of each other, we ended up having to reposition a row of pictures as three of ours could see each other reflected in the glass!
