But I must warn you about wood chippings. They are the worst substrate to use with bearded dragons - just one swallowed can mean a dead beardie. They are too big to pass through their guts and cause impaction and a nasty death. Please change the substrate to something else.

Most of us use a mixture of sandstone slabs and sand - the slabs help keep their nails trimmed. The desert where they come from is hard impacted sand, so sandstone is a good natural substrate for them.

ok thanks thats good to know i will get some sand from the reptile shop over the weekend
