Hi all,

We're yet to get our Bearded dragon yet...hopefully sometime this month, but we are away for a couple of weekends over the next few months. Once in May, then once in June and once in July.
All three breaks are Friday to Sunday and there's no one who can come in to feed him/her

I also have tropical fish, but have an automatic feeder.

I intend on buying a dragon of around a 3-6 months old and have read that they can't eat greens at this age but their diet consists of insects alone.
I've also read that you have to be careful leaving crickets in the tank over night as they can bite the BD while they sleep.
So my question is:
Is there any way I can leave anything in the tank for them to eat over the course of 48 hours?
Is there some kind of automatic feeder available?

Thanks in advance

Don't know who told you they can't eat greens at that age - they should have been started on veg from day one. Basically there are no short cuts to feeding, crix will actually attack a dragon if left in the viv over night although veg left in does help stop this happening. I'm afraid it's one of the minor problems with dragons finding a baby sitter.

Could I leave a bowl of greens in the tank for a few days then?

You can but make sure they're down the cool end otherwise they'll completely dehydrate and let him pig out on live food the day before you go away.
