Hi,

We have just adopted an 18 month old bearded dragon, we bought him home on Wednesday, and he only ate one hopper, none yesterday but this morning he ate 4. I am sure if id put another in he would have ate it, but the shop we got him from said he wasnt a huge eater, so im unsure how many i should be feeding him.

Also are crickets better for him?

Normal feeding for my adults is a small bowl of mixed greens daily with around 8 adult roaches (probably equates to 14~16 crix) every second or third day. Can't comment on locusts as we don't use them here, however I believe they can be rather habit forming so would avoid them. He will take up to a week to settle in so don't worry if he's off food for a while.

Rick
